On December 3, 2017 at 7.30 pm on the day of free admission of Slovenian culture, Celje City theatre will host an appearance of Virovitica theatre with the performance of David Paquet's drama, 2:14 h.
2:14 h is the drama of Canadian David Paquet, intended for teenagers, their parents and teachers. He talks about four uninterested teenagers and their professor who is struggling to explain to his pupils basic life wisdomes.
All characters connect, their fate is seemingly randomly intertwined, yet everyone is seeking change, him/herself and his or her role in society and more generaly society and the world. Each of them turns to face destiny in a different way, either by eating worms, with a phantom disease, by opening doors to thousands of people, or by creating critically thought about reality because of a sand lasagne.
It is precisely in these superficial states of characters that the duality, contradictions and extremes are best demonstrated, the concept of the angel and the devil on the shoulders of each one, managed by an invisible puppeteer who holds all the strings in his hands. Their paths are sometimes funny, often serious, but always surprising. In the end, the puzzle pieces are assembled and dispersed at the same time. The time of revelation is 2:14.
